A speech-language evaluation is the first real answer most families get. It happens at home or online, and ends with a written report and a plan — not “wait and see”.
What it is
Play for the little ones. Conversation for the big ones.
An evaluation looks at how your child understands language, uses it, produces sounds, and — where relevant — eats, reads and writes. For toddlers that's play with a purpose. For school-age children and teens it's conversation, some reading and writing, and formal and informal assessment.
You stay in the room. At the end we tell you what we saw, in plain language, and you get a written report within [X] days that you can share with your pediatrician, school or insurance plan.
A screening is shorter — 20–30 minutes — and answers one question: is a full evaluation worth doing? We offer screenings at [preschools and daycares] and by request.

We'll tell you on the consult call and put it in writing before you book. Private pay; a superbill is provided for out-of-network benefits.

That's normal, and it's information too. We work at your child's pace, at home, with you there — and we can split the evaluation across two visits if that's what your child needs.
